Title: La competència professional del professorat de Llenguatge musical. Els elements que incideixen en el disseny dels plans de formació continuada de les escoles de música

Abstract: The educational paradigm in the current knowledge society incorporates the competence perspective as a central element in the educational organization (Domínguez-Lloria, 2022). The present study focuses on the Musical language teachers of music schools, and aims to analyze the elements that contribute to the construction of their professional competence, analyzing the relationship between the training received and the experience in the classroom, with the constitution of their competence. Through an ex-post-facto descriptive quantitative empirical-analytical method, an ad hoc questionnaire is used with 61 questions answered by a sample of 15 Music Language teachers from the largest music school in Catalonia. The results change the initial perspective, which focused on academic training and experience, and emphasize co-evaluation and coordination and reflection between teachers, as strategies to effectively improve the professional competence of Musical language teachers of music schools.
