Abstract: Previous studies have verified the existence of certain differences in visuomanual precision in childrens before and after the application of plastic expression techniques. The aim of the present study was to analyze the relationships between the performance of seven graphoplastic techniques and the improvement in children's writing, as well as to analyze the possible differences given according to the gender of the participants. The study method is quantitative and the research design was experimental. The sample consisted of 20 5-year-old students (of which 11 were girls and 9 were boys), using the non-probability sampling technique for convenience. The basic instrument to collect the data was the adapted PROESCRI test, both in the pretest and the posttest, and the procedure was applied in two equivalent subgroups, CG and EG. To make the plastic techniques, school materials such as markers, different types of paper, plasticine, paint, among others, were used. Given that the EG, during the posttest, improved its results in all exercises, and the CG did not advance in a significant way, it is verified that, in this research, it is confirmed the proposed hypothesis, since a significant relationship has been found between the practice of graphoplasty and the improvement of the quality of writing. Finally, regarding the gender variable, there was no significant result, therefore it was confirmed that gender does not influence writing performance.
