Title: La narrativa catalana de postcrisi. Llengua, gènere i país en el tríptic de Marta Rojals
Author: Ojeda Caba, Júlia
Director: Iribarren, Teresa
Abstract: This research examines the literary representations in Catalan fiction post-2008, focusing on Marta Rojals' work. It covers the post-crisis era from 2010 to 2020, influenced by events like the "movimiento de los indignados," the feminist movement, and the Catalan pro-independence process. The study aims to contribute to the dialogue on crisis literature and precarious narratives, especially within Hispanic studies. It explores the specificities of post-crisis Catalan literature, linked to the country's political and cultural status. A corpus of approximately 75 works is analyzed, identifying post-crisis narratives as a significant trend in contemporary Catalan literature. The study specifically examines Rojals' novels: "Primavera, estiu, etcetera" (2011), "L’altra" (2014), and "El cel no és per a tothom" (2018). Analyzed from a sociopolitical perspective, these works require an analytical framework based on critical sociolinguistics and the intersection of gender and nation studies, underscoring Rojals' unique narrative style.
