Abstract: The approach to the study of second languages constitutes a significant challenge for students in Compulsory Secondary Education, emphasizing the need to stimulate motivation in the academic environment. In this context, the present master's thesis is dedicated to examining the influence of the implementation of digital breakouts on students' motivation during the process of acquiring a second language. The central focus of this work lies in the analysis of pedagogical strategies based on the use of digital educational breakouts as a didactic tool to enhance students' participation and interest in language learning. These strategies have the potential to positively impact key motivational factors, such as a sense of achievement, autonomy, and emotional connection to linguistic content. As a proposal for didactic intervention, and emphasizing the importance of adopting innovative and participatory approaches, it is observed that digital breakoutEDU can be an effective tool to stimulate student motivation and enhance the learning experience in multilingual and multicultural environments. The use of digital breakoutEDU is associated with an increase in active participation, a positive perception of the learning process, and a strengthening of the sense of community in the classroom. This manifestation is evident through tangible improvements in key competencies among first-year students in Compulsory Secondary Education at an institute in Vila-real.
