Title: Dones, expectatives i procés migratori. El cas de les dones marroquines a la ciutat de Valladolid
Author: Vázquez Mrasek, Desireé
Tutor: Guash Valls, Carmen
Abstract: Being a woman often implies a certain invisibility to some looks. If you are also a reunited woman, from Morocco and Muslim, invisibility translates into stigma and exclusion. This research aims to be the loudspeaker of women who arrive to Valladolid city following family reunification process started by husbands and heads of family. Through the own stories of five reunited women, we want to know how the migration process affects their life expectations and identify how these could become agency processes. A better understanding of the reality that these women live in the host community, invites us to rethink social intervention from a perspective of support and acknowledgment grounded in what themselves express.
