Title: Clasificación semántico-sintáctica de la transcripción de la función expresiva del leitmotiv de la música cinematográfica al subtitulado para personas sordas: una propuesta preliminar para la revisión de la norma UNE 153010

Abstract: The emotional expression of film music is crucial for comprehending the audiovisual product in its entirety. However, the UNE 153010:2012 standard in Spain fails to offer clear and standardized criteria for its transcription in Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SDH), resulting in a subjective and optional transfer. This Master's Dissertation aims to rectify this deficiency by utilizing data obtained through research to develop guidelines for describing film music in SDH and establishing a corpus based on musical expression indicators. The findings of this study demonstrate that by ensuring full accessibility to audiovisual products, enhanced SDH can not only improve the experience, well-being, and integration of deaf individuals but also yield economic benefits for sectors such as audiovisual and technology. Among others. This dissertation serves as a solid starting point for adapting the UNE standard to address this longstanding demand of the deaf community and fulfil the requirements of the World Health Organization and the 2030 Agenda.
