Author: | Ramírez Gómez, Sara |
Tutor: | Lavandeira Amenedo, Yago |
Abstract: | Throughout the following pages that shape the beginning and introduction of this final undergraduate thesis, marking the end of my academic journey, I consider it crucial to highlight not only my personal interest that motivates and fills these lines on the chosen topic but also the pressing need to address it and seek effective solutions. While these solutions may not be foolproof and may require improvements, the objective is to place the issue of gender-based violence on social media against women and transgender women at the forefront of dialogue. The key is to encourage discussion and foster productive debate, generating ideas that, through activism, can translate into tangible solutions. This introduction is structured into various phases to explore the significant importance of addressing the issue that arises in the realm of social media since the emergence of the Internet and how the movement has been creating solutions. However, it is emphasized that there still exists a need for further actions and activism to comprehensively address this problem. |
