Abstract: | The research analyses the communication that has taken place in the University during the irst weeks of confinement derived from the COVID-19 crisis in Spain, as well as the repercussion of the situation on academic activities. A mixed methodology was followed through an ad hoc survey with a Likert scale, as well as focus groups with students from presential classes and online studies. The research is based on Social Education students in Barcelona (Spain). Students confirm the difficulty to suitably follow their university studies and attach importance to the messages that the university sent during the crisis, even if they were not with totally closed decisions. They also support organizational improvements after the first few weeks of confinement. The results can help improve the management of similar crises that occur in universities. |
