Abstract: | The study of the main expressions of the visual arts and the architecture from the Renaissance until the 19th-century is the main axis of this subject. It pretends to contribute a panoramic vision, with some references to the art of our nearer environment, particularly the modernist art. The study of the Art History is not understood just with this aim, but we try to show it in a wide and integrating point of view. It will be stressed the interconnection with other areas of knowledge and it will not be reduced to the study of the styles and their characteristics otherwise the subject's approach is the study in depth of the knowledge of both, the cultural and the humanistic framework, within the artistic creation in the modern world and the beginning of the contemporary world. |
