Abstract: In this paper we intend to know the evolution of the HIV-1 virus in the most common first-line regimens. For this study, 46 patients with available RT sequence were treated primarily with one of the two regimens (Group 1: 2ITIAN + 1IP vs. Group 2: 2ITIAN + 1ITINAN). Phylogenetic trees were constructed using Bayesian approximations and maximum likelihood. The temporal relationship between treatment time and diversity was analyzed and genetic diversity was compared in both groups as a proxy for evolution velocity. Selection pressure was measured by the difference between non-synonymous and synonymous mutations.
