Abstract: This paper looks at the two news organizations "The New York Times" and "BuzzFeed" in the context of digital journalism. Both organizations are compared in terms of their business model and internationalization, while also including information from the point of view of their readers and journalism professionals. This comparison serves to discover similarities and differences between these organizations with very different origins, in order to exemplify how two of the most relevant media companies today balance popularity with profitability and reliability.
