Abstract: This work aims to be an approach to urban women in Ciutat de Mallorca, former name of the current Palma, capital of Mallorca, during the Late Middle Ages. In the first part, a look is made in that old city, to see how it was organized and what was its strategic importance to the Mediterranean. In the second part, we enter fully into the study of the presence of women in that city. Not only speaks of the Christian woman, but also of the Jewish and the Muslim, since the three communities coexisted in that ancient city. It is exposed what type of work they did each of them and their presence is found out to commercial transactions, to discover if they could do them in their own name or if, on the contrary, they depended on the consent of a male figure.
