Abstract: | This paper is focused on analyzing the causes of low participation in training sessions for library users by students, professors and university researchers in the Library of Physics and Chemistry of the Universitat de Barcelona. It highlights the importance of training in search, selection and dissemination of information as well as the inclusion of an information literacy skills program. Possible solutions and proposals to increase this attendance (more publicity, advertising...), to amortize the resources and services which librarians collect and ultimately retain these users are presented. |
