Abstract: The effort to develop specific teaching-learning methodologies to the virtual environment has not been accompanied by a similar impetus to adapt the coordination mechanisms of the faculty, in general, and mentoring activities in particular, to the characteristics of virtual universities. This communication helps to develop organizational models that facilitate developing a good online tutorial action. To this end, we present the main elements to structure and coordinate the tutorial, and we explain the specific model adopted at the UOC. Finally, we present a measure of experience that can be useful to other institutions.
