Title: Implementación de un punto de acceso residencial con servicio de monitorización WiFi

Abstract: The internet boom and the rise of WiFi technology has changed the way and browsing patterns of users. From a user who connected to the internet thanks to a PC wired to his router and made timely use of the broadband connection, to a user who connects wirelessly to the router and makes constant use of the connection. This has caused a certain sense of insecurity or lack of control in users, since wireless connections are not tangible. Who or what is connected to the WiFi connection is a recurring question today. Currently there are different isolated, incomplete or paid solutions to answer the question posed. The commercial control software consulted is incomplete (they only allow or deny the service) and do not monitor the use of WiFi. This project is based on a low-cost Raspeberry microcomputer and a completely free Raspbian operating system (technology created by The Raspberry Pi Foundation for academic purposes) and on free programs and open source scripts. With this base a fully operational access point is implemented with functionalities of: authentication, monitoring of the WiFi environment, validation of reliable clients, sending alerts based on events. In this way, this work provides the user with sufficient knowledge to implement a simple residential access point with basic monitoring and security functionalities without having to rely on different third-party payment software.
