Title: La excelencia educativa percibida desde el alumnado: medición del deleite de los estudiantes en experiencias de educación superior
Author: Escobar Rivera, Dalilis

Abstract: This study proposes an explanatory model and a scale for measuring student delight in educational experiences, from the evolution of the concept of satisfaction and quality, seen as excellence. As a result, delighted students were identified from the analysis of two independent samples of 173 students from the International University of Catalonia and 116 students from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. For the data analysis, descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were used through Structural Equation Models (SEM). The validation of the hypotheses raised and the results suggest that the state of delight in students is facilitated through the positive assessment of cognitive and affective factors, both being similarly significant. The model obtained, which draws the opinion of the respondents, suggests that cognitive factors are first evaluated and these in turn activate the emotions of positive valence in students and therefore evoke a state of delight associated with the educational experience. The proposal has both theoretical and practical implications in higher education for educational excellence and the personalization of education.
