Title: Soft skills a les administracions públiques locals

Abstract: Recently it is commonly said that soft skills are important as a key for people's success, therefore, for companies which are managed and formed by persons. Public administrations are not outside these trends, but in practice this does not seem to take important value. The main aim of this report is to investigate how soft skills are introduced and managed in public administrations nearest to the citizens, the local administrations, the reasons why they do not work more and better, as well as the main skills that would be applicable across all the working places in this type of entities. This task has been Soft skills a les Administracions Públiques Locals Grau en Relacions laborals i ocupació 7 carried out, on the one hand, through the study of different texts elaborated by experts in people management, both in public and private spheres, competence-based management and organizational and labor psychology; and on the other hand, using questionnaires that human resources managers of different local entities in Barcelona province have answered. However, the results and the conclusions has not finished this study, but this report wants to go a little further and offer some suggestions about how soft skills can be introduced and managed in the daily routine of the people management departments of local administrations.
