Title: Coeducación e igualdad de género en la etapa de secundaria. Estereotipos de género y formación docente

Abstract: Co-education arises in the educational system, seeking to transform the current educational model, based mainly on traditional teachings, into an education based on gender equality perspectives. In this Master's Thesis, a bibliographic review is carried out based on the coeducational model and gender equality, with the objectives of analyzing the coeducational practices carried out in the secondary stage and studying the initial teacher training in coeducation. This non-experimental research consists of a sample of 20 articles, research and bibliographic documents from different databases. Finally, it is obtained that the concept of educational equality is part of the educational laws, as well as, of the curricula of the educational centers. In addition, co-educational practices, projects and programs are designed and applied in educational institutions. Although, there are certain barriers to the development of the coeducational model, the main one being the initial training of teachers in coeducation.
