Abstract: The study presents the actions of the intervention process for the development of the multilingual communicative competence of a 13-year-old girl with Angelman Syndrome who uses an augmentative and/or alternative communication system (AACS). A retrospective observational case study has been carried out focusing on the strategies and techniques used to stimulate the communicative development of the child from the main contexts in which she has participated throughout her life. In addition, special attention is paid to the role of the child's interlocutors in modeling the SAACs she has had at her disposal over the years and the languages used. The results show that after the intervention based on the methodology of assisted natural language stimulation, there have been significant improvements in the child's communicative skills. Currently, she presents a higher level in comprehension than in communicative expression. Similarly, the data obtained indicate that the child's comprehension skills in several languages are superior to her expression skills through the use of the SAAC, which are limited to a single language.
