Abstract: This study arises from the need to research about the recent implementation of co-teaching in secondary schools. The research is contextualized in a public secondary school in Vilafranca del Penedès. In that school was analyzed the personal assessment of 33 educational agents (teachers, guidance department and students) involved in the implementation of this type of teaching, in terms of attention to the diversity of students (including students with specific educational support needs). The assessment was collected on four instruments: a teacher's questionnaire, a student's questionnaire, a discussion group with the guidance department and an interview with a teacher. The results suggest that co-teaching has several educational advantages over ordinary teaching, such as the improvement of academic qualifications in students with special educational needs, more cooperation among students, less classroom unrest and in addition, is useful to improve the teachers experience. However, the present study suggests several challenges that need to bear in mind when it is applying this kind of teaching, such as the improvement in teaching coordination and the need for sufficient resources.
