| Abstract: | The malfunction of the spanish abortion law has induced inequality situations for many women. Although abortion in Spain is a legal service since 1985, there are many public hospitals that not practice it and they have not notified one for years. Patients are forced to go to private clinics and even to move hundreds of kilometers to other cities. Almost every testimony agree that the conscientious objection of doctors blocks the right of abortion. The media have given a space to this issue during 2021 and government announced at the end of the year that they are working to guarantee the correct application of the abortion law with a new reformation of it. |
