Abstract: The main objective of this final degree project is to delve into the study of legal translation in the international field and to expand the knowledge acquired during the Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Interpreting and Applied Languages. For this purpose, an actual judgment of the European Court of Human Rights has been chosen: Case of Komissarov v. The Czech Republic, published in English on 3 February 2022. This final project aims to serve as a basis for any professional who wants to work as a legal translator in the international field and also aims to emulate the methodology of a translator working in a European or international organisation. Thanks to the legal knowledge acquired about the ECHR and about legal language in the pre-translation research, as well as the consultation of dictionaries, glossaries and parallel texts, the problems of translating an actual judgement could be solved. In conclusion, the method used would be optimal for any legal translation.
