Title: Comunicación no sexista e inclusiva en instituciones museísticas: Guía de estilo
Author: Cano Coca, Laura Nieves
Tutor: Herrera Sánchez, Sonia
Abstract: Museums are institutions dedicated to the conservation, study, knowledge, custody, promotion and communication of our cultural legacy. As such, they are a public service for society and are also active agents in the creation of the identity, history and culture of the communities in which they are located, and of all those who are influenced by them. In Spain, the study of different museums has revealed a reality that was already suspected: they continue to communicate in a sexist and discriminatory way. This project, therefore, offers a guide for museum institutions in Spain, and all those countries that consider it appropriate, to adopt non-sexist and inclusive language in their communication, both digital and in general, and to become truly democratic places.
