Abstract: Stage anxiety is a real problem that affects the health and well-being of piano students and affects the dropout, performance in front of an audience and the quality of the pianist's training. The solitude of their study, the few opportunities to play in public and the characteristics of the instrument, make it necessary to make the student aware of the importance of growing their staging by following good study habits and the teacher, of the importance of attending to extra-musical aspects, in addition to technique. The immersive possibilities of virtual reality and the potential to facilitate alternative ways of learning, raises the following question: Can virtual reality transform the traditional practice of existing awareness and visualization techniques and positively influence the emotional well-being and interpretative quality of the pianist? This Master's thesis in Education and Tic, starts from academic reflection, to formulate an intervention project: "Virtual laboratory of interpretive skills and support in the study of the piano subject", based on the needs of vulnerability, concern and training, presented by students and piano teachers of the Royal Professional Conservatory of Music "Julian Arcas" of Almeria, in order to improve anxiety situations through virtual reality. The work, with its limitations, shows evidence of the changes that the use of VR produces at the methodological level, digital competence, resources and tools for learning the subject, reducing stage anxiety and providing interpretative security in its staging and the benefits of technology for teaching monitoring, showing potentially influential in the quality and welfare of students.
