Title: ChatGPT: Una herramienta de Inteligencia Artificial en el aula de secundaria. Análisis de los usos y retos de ChatGPT en la enseñanza de secundaria

Abstract: Teachers face to the widespread use of ChatGPT, an Artificial Intelligence tool that simulates human conversation, in educational practice. The present study analyses the challenges posed by its implementation in secondary education, specifically focusing on teachers' knowledge and training, as well as the various uses and drawbacks of its application. For the investigation, 134 secondary school teachers from an international private school in Singapore were asked to fill out a virtual questionnaire. The responses revealed that 80% of the participants are familiar with ChatGPT. However, 57% of the participants have moderately used it to support their educational responsibilities. In conclusion, teachers are progressively incorporating ChatGPT into their professional practice and express a willingness to use it more frequently in the future. It is observed that, typically, it is employed in diverse ways and more frequently for tasks outside the classroom than within. Teachers recognize that the limitation of obtaining unsatisfactory answers is the major disadvantage of its use.
