Abstract: The education in leisure time consists of teaching values that are not offered in other social contexts. It involves considering it as a space that allows for the development of the human being. In leisure time, there are opportunities for psychopedagogical practices through activities that contribute to society and complement education. Organizations like the Organización Juvenil Española (OJE) promote this type of education. The objective of this study is to analyze the importance of educating children and adolescents in leisure time by volunteers and explore its possibilities from a psychopedagogical perspective. The sample consisted of 80 individuals, including 12 monitors from the Hogar Ayud, 40 parents of affiliated children at the Hogar Ayud, 8 monitors from the OJE in other parts of Spain, 18 children and adolescents from the Hogar Ayud, and 2 interviewees who belong to the Hogar Ayud and are also parents of affiliated individuals. Four questionnaires and one interview were conducted, focusing on education in leisure time and psychopedagogical practices. The results show that the Organización Juvenil Española, specifically at the Hogar Ayud, carries out a psychopedagogical practice that had not been observed before, where monitors educate children and adolescents in their leisure time.
