Abstract: This Master's Thesis intends to conclude the studies of the master’s degree in education and ICT (elearning) at the UOC, by designing a digital educational material. A practical approach that aims to guide virtual teachers, in the current general socio-educational field and in their particular context of action, to better perform their new role and, therefore, the way they guide their students in their self-learning process. A support guide for online teaching that advises on the “presence” and teacher communication on the Web2, focusing on a small sample (the academic supervision team of the “End of Studies Project” of an online program at the University of Extremadura) of the framework of application. A program (COFPE) in which the absence of face-to-face interaction confirms that virtual learning has its own identity and ways of "being" and communicating different from face-to-face ones. The result being the appreciation of specific needs that, together with the theoretical argument, justify the interest and opportunity of this work, within the selected field: the transformation of traditional pedagogical models and ways of understanding learning and teaching, as well as the role of the agents involved since the incorporation of ICT in education. In conclusion, this report, with its proposal for action, aims to guide an online teacher/tutor to manifest their social, didactic and cognitive functions, through communication mechanisms and even techno-pedagogical design.
