Abstract: | The aim of this work is to analyze the literature on psychology, lunguistics, sociology, and politics that dealt with the relationship between language and collective psychology or character in Spain during the second half of the 19 th century. This study is built on a genealogical basis and it is also adjusted to the structured of knowledge of such century. In this sense, it approaches a a) the roots of the psycho-linguistic conjuction, b) the specific mechanism linking language peculiarity, and c) its possibilities of expansion, corruption, or disappearance within conflictive areas with alternative psycho-linguistic expressions. The result of this analysis contribute to the understanding of the role of the intersection between psychology, language, and nation during the construction of a Spanish subjetivity or "identity" ajusted to the calls and global ans domestic crisis of Modernity. |
