Title: L'efecte de la digitalització a l'aula en l'habilitat d'escriure a mà de l'alumnat de secundària

Abstract: In an extremely digitalized educational context, several studies point to a worsening of students' cognitive development and attribute this to the negative influence of digital media. This phenomenon has meant setting handwriting aside and increasing typewriting. Some experts warn that writing by hand is essential because it mobilizes parts of the brain that are not activated by typing. In this study, the effect of the digitalization of secondary school classrooms on students' handwriting skills is investigated, based on a comparative analysis of quantitative and qualitative data between two groups of eighth-graders, with an opposed digitalization exposure. Despite the limitations of the present study, the results point to a certain trend of negative impact of the use of technological devices on students' handwriting.
