Abstract: The feeding of the mother during pregnancy affects fetal development and health, and can affect the development of pancreatic hormonal status of the fetus and the concentration of biomarkers in the birth of diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome. They are known risks for toxic heavy metals present in some foods. Biomolecules that are most affected are people who eat protein with enzymatic activity, for which, the diseases caused by these metals affect mainly the gastrointestinal system, central and peripheral neurological, renal and bloody. If these are consumed by pregnant women, these risks also move the baby, and can cause many side effects, especially neural newborn.
