Title: La incorporació de la perspectiva socioeducativa en l'acció policial: Una anàlisi de la situació a la Policia de Catalunya

Abstract: This paper analyses the knowledge generated by the participants of a seminar to develop a social educational proposal for the police action of the Police of Catalonia. This proposal intends to improve citizen care and to adapt the police response for the social needs of the XXI century. In order to obtain the data I have used a qualitative approach based on the technique used in the discussion groups. The results of this analysis show great ignorance and waste of the possibilities of action between professions that intervene for the same cause; the integral resolution of the situations of vulnerability and social conflicts. The conclusions drawn lead us to the approach of all the social agents to investigate the benefits of the social educational perspective and multidisciplinary work, as an integrative form of police action; less repressive and more social education. The added value of other studies carried out is the claim of police supplementation, through the enrichment of Social Education not in specific actions but embeded in the practice itself.
