Abstract: Sexual assistance is a sex work that provides the person with disability a support to sexually access their own body or the body of another person with disability, but not the body of the sexual assistant. Sexual assistance is a right of persons with disability to their own body that must generate concrete obligations to public powers, especially funding in order to allow access to everyone who needs it. In the Spanish State it is unregulated, therefore, there is no professional group that guarantees a specific formation, praxis and deontology. The history of sexual assistance in the Spanish state is marked by the queer-crip alliance between movements of people with sexual and gender diversity and people with disability, who share the body as a space for political struggle against heterosexist and ableist oppression of the patriarchal capitalist system. This research is based on interviews with a queer sexual assistant, a sexual assistance user, an activist, and a psychologist.
