Abstract: This work consists of an in-depth understanding of 4G networks and the principles behind their architecture, since it is important strengthen skills for network engineer and systems engineer if they want to work in the mobile telephony sector. The objective, on the one hand is to provide a system overview of the mobile communications networks through a detailed description and a study of the networks based on LTE technology. And secondly, as learning result shall be designed a LTE network, in respect of the architecture and protocols part (E-UTRAN, IP Backhaul and EPC). And, on the other hand a simulation of radio planning shall be made considering the practical considerations for assess the coverage, interferences produced by reuse frequencies, inter alia. Ultimately, at the end of the project we will obtain the capacity to analyze, model and design the new architectures, protocols and communication interfaces for the mobile communications systems.
