Abstract: | The Department of Defense is faced with the need to make progress in its electronic transformation, as a result of the new internal and general regulations of the state. Its peculiar characteristics force us to reflect on the impact that this transformation can have on all its dimensions. This study seeks to identify the elements that it needs, in the organizational dimensions, of functioning by processes, technological, governance and legal compliance, following the research methodology from the analysis of the literature to establish the theoretical framework. Through qualitative methods, data obtained from the analysis of document content and interviews with profiles especially related to digital transformation have been collected. The resulting elements are summarized in that a structure is needed that leads the pro-cess in a coordinated manner, making use of a unified methodology in terms of identifi-cation, standardization and improvement, following quality standards and archival meth-odology. As a solution, the creation of an Electronic Process Control Office is proposed whose guidelines should be assumed by the entire Department. |
