Title: | Traducción de un fragmento de la novela "Thus was Adonis murdered" |
Author: | Rufino González, Neus |
Tutor: | Borrell Carreras, Helena |
Abstract: | This Final Degree Project proposes a partial translation of the English detective novel "Thus was Adonis murdered, by Sarah Caudwell. Specifically, the proposed translation is of the first two chapters. Given the specific characteristics of the novel and the incognita regarding the gender of one of the main characters, Hilary Tamar, this project attempts to use different translation strategies that avoid gender markers in reference to this character. In the same way, the project also explores the possibility of making translations that avoid the "Male-As-Norm Principle". |
