Abstract: The implementation of Law 21.091 on Higher Education in Chile has implied a series of modifications to the regulation of the National Quality Assurance System. These include the publication of six Criteria and Standards for Accreditation, structured on the basis of dimensions that must be met at institutional or programme level. By having quality criteria and standards for the first time, higher education institutions have the possibility to identify reasonably well where they stand and to make plans to improve their situation. On the other hand, they have to check whether the criteria defined by the National Accreditation Commission are in line with the aims and purposes set out in their educational projects. the aims and objectives established in their educational projects. Based on this analysis, it is necessary to establish a set of indicators by means of which they will monitor the standards defined by the National Accreditation Commission and those that are specific to their culture. By addressing the elements described above, this document presents a proposal of indicators for the monitoring of the academic body of the Universidad del Desarrollo, considering national and institutional legislation and main international trends, incorporating for the first time in this institution, the gender perspective.
