Abstract: This paper is a descriptive study that focuses on the translation of the obscene language in the Spanish dubbed version of the film Pulp Fiction (1994). Our main objective is to verify whether there is a tendency of translation or omission in the obscene language and whether the nature of those terms is maintained or changed. First, a bibliographic review about audiovisual translation was done and, particularly, about dubbing and the classification and translation of the obscene language. Secondly, the corpus was analysed, presenting the results and extracting our conclusions.
