Abstract: The aim of this study has been to identify the existence of Burnout, his variables, and perceptions in active teaching. The research circumscribed under a quantitative, ex-post-facto and transversal methodology has been developed through a five-block questionnaire (social-demographic variables; MBI; variables related to the SB within the educational framework; perception and consequences of the SB in teaching work and didactic interventions; and open space) to 45 teachers of Catalan educational institutions. The results have indicated the existence of Burnout syndrome in the teaching collective, framed by a lack of resources and training; a sense of incapacity to pay attention to all students and their diversity; a lack of energy, overwork and feeling of emotional exhaustion; and a lack of social and educational recognition and support for the teaching figure. The study concludes with the need for the voice dotation and recognition of teaching practice, as well as the elaboration of plans for the detection and emotional, professional and personal support of Burnout syndrome, given the high prevalence of Burnout in the educational framework and the consequences on teaching and didactic interventions.
