Abstract: The importance of assessing teaching quality in higher education institutions and establishing quality standards is increasing. The objective of the study is to analyze the quality indicators used at the international level. The evaluated countries were: Spain, The United Kingdom, Germany, France, Australia, The United States, Sweden, Brazil, Italy, Norway and South Africa, the countries with the highest number of universities included in the Academic Ranking of World Universities. The results indicate variability of the indicators used, with the most frequent being those related to material resources, research and human resources.
